Young Savers’ Accounts

"The Credit Union offers a range of services to our members"

Young Savers’ Accounts

Young Savers’ Membership Accounts are available for young people up to their 16th birthdays.  After that they become full members, although they are not permitted to have loans until they are 18 years old by law.

For security reasons an adult Trustee is linked with each Young Saver.  The Trustee will specify the age at which the Young Saver may take control of their account, which can be any time after their 12th birthday.

Payments can be made by cash or cheque at your school collection point if you have one, by bank standing order, by cheque or cash at a branch office, and by Giro swipe card at any Post Office or anywhere you see the Pay Zone logo.
