Free Insurance

Life insurance on loans is provided to members up to 80 years of age, subject to conditions, and is there to safeguard your family from worrying about any outstanding loan if you should die before it is repaid. It pays anything that is due if a member should die before the age of 80.

Savings insurance is provided to members up to 65 years of age. It is a unique benefit only available to you as a credit union member. It provides a death benefit to your next of kin that directly relates to the amount of savings you have achieved. This money is paid to your family with all speed (usually well before other forms of financial assistance are  available). At a difficult time it again gives your dependants one thing less to cause additional stress.

The Credit Union funds this insurance through the CUNA Mutual Group. The payment of the insurance is subject to conditions; please ask at the office for further information.

Payment Protection Insurance

The Credit Union can also offer Payment Protection insurance to cover your loan repayments should you be unable to work due to accident or sickness, or become unemployed. Ask at the office, when applying for a loan, for terms and conditions.

Family Protection Plan

The average cost of a funeral in the UK is £4,500.  For a modest monthly payment you can cover yourself and your family (up to six people in total). Ask at the office for terms and conditions.
